  • REACH!’s Proposal:

26 public school districts, 50 non-public schools and countless youth organizations in the Cumberland County area will be able to audition for the “REACHing for Excellence Showcase”, a talent show for 12 to 18 year-olds (6th – 12th graders). Twelve winners in the fields of acting, singing, dancing, instrumental or rap performance will earn the opportunity of a life time:

  • A full academic-year scholarship for training in their artistic pursuit.
  • An all-expense-paid trip to New York City with one parent/guardian.
  • A job-shadowing with an arts professional.
  • A tour of a landmark venue, such as Radio City Music Hall or the Metropolitan Opera House.
  • A master class with a young arts professional.
  • A Broadway show.

This year of development and the journey to New York culminates in a public performance in Carlisle that will showcase the student’s accomplishments – and demonstrate the power of hard work.

This event will not be able to take place until the proper funding has been secured. With that in mind, please keep a look out for REACH! fundraising events in and around the Carlisle community. If you or anyone you know would like to help. Please click here.

  • What do I have to do in order to try out for the talent show?
