  • Kristiane Koontz

Kristiane began her dance training at the age of five at Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She later trained at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts and the Vaganova-based International School of Classical Ballet. In February 2004 Kristiane received the second place laureate (senior division, classical ballet) at the International Dance Open Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia for her performance in the pas de trios from Le Corsaire with the International Ballet Theater.

Kristiane moved to San Francisco in 2004 where she danced with the Lines Ballet School pre-professional program and later with choreographers Paula Plessas and Ann Robideaux of PPARDance in the performance series “Baggage Claim.” Kristiane has had the pleasure of studying with Stephanie Saland, Deborah Hadley, Carmen Roche (Madrid), Alonzo King, Cheryl Chaddick, and Marcia Dale Weary and performing works by Kent Stowell, Marius Petipa, Alonzo King, and Cheryl Chaddick among others. Kristiane has since returned to school and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Dickinson College, in Carlisle, PA where she also dances with the Dance Theater Group and studies at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
