I started dancing when I was 10 and trained in ballet, jazz and modern. When I was 16, I moved to Carlisle, PA to study ballet at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Marcia Dale Weary. At CPYB, I performed in many ballets, including Balanchine's Nutcracker, Alan Hineline's Roseland Pictures, several ballets by Melinda Howe, and Sleeping Beauty in the role of Carabosse.
After graduating from Carlisle High School in 2003, I went on to attend Dickinson College and am currently a junior and a Psychology and English double major. At Dickinson, I am the captain of Synergy: The Dickinson Dance Team, Vice President of Phoenix, a women's community service and social organization, former News Editor of The Dickinsonian, and a Resident Advisor for first-year students. Recently, I was awarded the 2006-2006 M. Charles Seller award for RA of the Year. With Synergy, I have performed at the Carlisle Theatre, the Downtown Carlisle Association's First Friday, the Polar Bear Plunge for Area M Special Olympics, as well as several performances at Dickinson for student audiences.
